STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED HANNIBAL / ELEPHANT MOTIF CERAMIC SOUP TUREEN, having blue transfer "HANNIBAL Passing the Alps" #2, as printed to underside, depicting a battle in mountains with elephant, warriors on horseback, and archers. Marks to underside include printed shield with stag head to top. Knight, Elkin & Co., Fenton, England. 1826–1846. 10 1/2" HOA, 9 5/8" x 7 1/4" rim.

Condition

Excellent visual condition having professional restoration to hairline extending from rim to base, a minor rim flake, and a minor flake to underside cover flange.
