STAFFORDSHIRE VIRGINIA / AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC TEA ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, each having the Virginia Church pattern featuring an ovoid cartouche with a reclining fisherman and a steepled church in background and floral surround, comprising a waste bowl, a scalloped rim cup and saucer set, and a cup. Saucer having impressed propeller mark, otherwise unmarked. Possibly Joseph Heath, Tunstall, England. Second quarter 19th century. 11 3/4" HOA.

Catalogue Note: According to the Transferware Collectors Club database, Joseph Heath was the primary maker who used this impressed propeller mark. It was the discovery of the marked saucer in this lot that led members to possibly attribute this pattern to Heath.
Three undamaged; scalloped rim cup having a minute flake to lower shoulder and with moderate crazing; each cup having some light discoloration.
