STAMPED "BACKER", WINCHESTER, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA EARTHENWARE / REDWARE DIMINUTIVE CROCK, lead- and manganese-glazed interior, approximately one-quart capacity, wide-mouth slightly ovoid form with double incised shoulder rings, stamped under base. Anthony Weis Backer/Baecher (1824-1889), Winchester, VA. 1865-1882. 4 1/2" H, 5 5/8" D rim.

Condition

Having a few scattered rim flakes with an approximately 1 3/4" rim hairline.
