STAMPED "D S", DANIEL SEAGLE, LINCOLN CO., CATAWBA VALLEY, NORTH CAROLINA STONEWARE OVERSIZED JAR, alkaline-glazed, "15" gallon capacity mark, finely potted bold ovoid form with flat-top rounded rim and four applied deep tab handles spaced around shoulder. Daniel Seagle (1805-1867), Lincoln Co., NC. Second quarter 19th century. 19 1/2" H, 10 5/8" D rim.
