STAMPED "J. KEISTER & CO / STRASBURG, VA." DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "1/2" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with squared rim and incised shoulder ring. Brushed cobalt dropped feather decoration below neck. Pottery of Jeremiah Keister (1829-1901), Strasburg, VA. 1857-1870. 8 1/2" H, 5 3/8" D rim.
