STAMPED "J. WEAVER", BEAVER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "5" gallon capacity mark, semi-ovoid form with flat-top rounded rim, beaded neck ring, incised shoulder ring, and applied arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Three brushed cobalt horizontal spitting tulips to front, additional cobalt to stamp and handle terminals. John and George Weaver, Beaver County, PA. 1840-1880. 14 1/8" H, 9 3/8" D rim.

Condition

Very good condition having two hairlines that do not appear to go through to interior and do not affect resonance, one radial example to back and one above base.
