STAMPED "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO.", DECORATED STONEWARE CROCK, salt-glazed, "3" gallon capacity mark, cylindrical form with flat-top rounded rim, applied arched handles, Albany-slip glazed interior. Slip-trailed cobalt stylized floral design to front. Together with a cover of unknown association. Two pieces total. New York Stoneware Co., Fort Edward, NY. 1859-1885. 12 1/4" HOA (with cover), 10 3/4" D rim.
Crock mostly undamaged, having two flakes to rim interior and a flake to one handle; cover with two chips to edge, a crack extending from edge to near finial, and some scattered whitish residue.
