TEXAS ATTRIBUTED "LOG CABIN - BARN RAISING" PIECED QUILT, hand- and machine-stitched, 100 pattern blocks in print and solid fabrics having red square centers, made of approximately 1,700 pieces, outline quilting in brown and white thread, back-over-front binding, four-paneled print fabric backing. Circa 1890. 82" x 83 1/2".
Provenance: From the collection of Bob and Dixie Moore, Deer Park, MD.
Purchased at a Texas estate auction.

Condition

Very good overall condition, top with light toning, some light fading, and scattered spotting and light stains, two pieces of dark colored fabric at center fold lines with shattering, a few other dark fabric with small holes, backing with toning, some stains, and ghosting from fabric on top.
