THOMAS HAIG ATTRIBUTED, PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE CAKE CROCK WITH COVER, salt-glazed, approximately half-gallon capacity, truncated cylindrical form with arched handles and squared rim, brown-glazed interior, along with a matching cover. Brushed cobalt dropped feather decoration below rim, additional cobalt at and below handle terminals, cover with brushed cobalt feathers repeated four times to cover edge. Circa 1870. 5 1/4" HOA (with cover), 8 1/4" D rim.
Base having two shallow chips to rim exterior and scattered flakes to rim interior, and cover having a C-shaped hairline, two chips to flange, two minor chips to finial, and moderate crazing to interior.
