THOMAS LORD FAIRFAX (1693-1781) SIGNED 1753 VIRGINIA LAND GRANT DOCUMENT, manuscript vellum, granting 88 acres in Frederick Co., Virginia on the head of the main branch of Hoggs Creek to Jacob Catley, signed "Fairfax" bottom right corner. Together with a manuscript paper draft of an 1821 indenture/deed for 110 acres on Stony Creek sold by Joseph and Phebe Parker to Jacob Miller (son of George), unsigned. Two pieces total. 10 3/4" x 13 1/2" and 16 1/2" x 10 3/8".

Condition

Fairfax example lacking seal and with three small holes to text and small losses at lower left edge; other example in very good condition with several small holes to folds.
