TRUMBULL CO., OHIO SIGNED AND DATED JACQUARD COVERLET, dark blue wool and natural cotton, two joined panels, center having repeated floral and star motifs, three sides with borders of birds, trees, and roses, three edges with fringe. Bottom corners signed "PETER / UHL / TRUMBUL / COUNTY / OHIO. 1840. / NANCY / LOWERS". Peter Uhl, Paris, Portage Co. and Trumbull Co., OH. Dated 1840. 70" x 87" with fringe.
Condition
Good overall condition with scattered stains and toning, center seam with a few spots of separation and mending, top edge with wear and tear, scattered losses to fringe.
