U.S. ARMY AIRCRAFT CAMERA MODEL K-21 IN CASE WITH LENS, Army green-finished metal casing, accepting 5x7 film, serial number "AC-42-16021" marked on Folmer Graflex nameplate, large and heavy body of unique design with various power hookups and connections, buttons, etc., with front mounting for Kodak Aero-EKTAR f:2.5 7in lens, fitting in original custom wooden case painted green with exterior stencil reading "CAMERA / AIRCRAFT / TYPE K-21 / HANDLE / WITH CARE", with some remaining accoutrements including an empty box for filters, another box with heater and filter having General Electric sticker and a July 1951 inspection date, loose pages of "Restricted" K-21 Aircraft Camera Condensed Operating Instructions with stern legal warning against transmission of its contents to any "unauthorized person", and a yellow tag with 29 Oct 1946 inspection date for the camera "According to Project C-60-R.A." Mid 20th century. 16 1/2 x 15 1/2" x 15 1/2" case.
Good visual condition with heavy wear apparent especially to lens housing, internal dust and grime visible within lens; camera not thoroughly inspected or tested but seems more or less intact; case is very heavily worn with losses to veneer (see Catalogue Guarantee).
