US NAVY TRAINING SCHOOL ANTIQUE GRAFLEX RB SERIES D REFLEX CAMERA, black hardware and gray-painted trim/components, revolving Graflex back accepting 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" film currently with a sheet film holder, camera serial number 159745, equipped with a Jos. Schneider & Co. Kreuznach "Xenar" f:3.5 18cm lens, leather fur-edged viewing hood, the camera is fit into a U.S. Navy-marked Graflex-produced leather and purple velvet-lined case/box and has a couple film sheets and a tattered instruction booklet. Produced 1928-1947. 13 1/4" x 8 1/4" x 9 1/4" case.

Condition

Case excellent with some routine wear to edges and mild to moderate bending of leather walls, but still structurally sound; camera very good visual condition with age-related wear to case including some peeling to leather and relatively heavy corrosion/rust to metal especially the screws; mechanical parts each appear to operate smoothly except aperture curtain will not move (the turning knob seems stuck), hood and bellows seem to seal properly but one part of hood support will not stay locked; the mirrors produce a viewable but internally-dusty image; camera has not been tested for functionality (see Catalogue Guarantee).
