U.S. SIGNAL CORPS GRAFLEX SPEED GRAPHIC CAMERA AND LE-9 CASE, Army green hardware and mostly black trim/components, Graflok back accepting 4" x 5" film currently with a hinged-flap focusing hood, camera has serial number 858932 and additional Signal Corps serial number "510" on a frontal nameplate, equipped with a Graflex Optar f:4.5 127mm lens and dual range finders, the camera is housed in a U.S. Signal Corps-marked "LE-9" Army green-painted metal case with Halliburton nameplate with serial "AA 63187", having a seemingly near-complete set of stock accoutrements, including film sheets, flash, reflector, tripod, cords, etc. The whole outfit appears to date to the Korean War era, but the case and camera were "overhauled" and likely restored and repainted, in January 1987. Camera produced 1947-1973. 21" x 13" x 8" case.

Condition

Case very good with some routine wear and dents/bending and likely extensive repainting/overpainting to exterior with possibly some light restoration to felt compartments; camera appears excellently maintained with the exception of some unsightly overpaint especially to exterior back, shutter/curtain and bellows all seem to operate relatively smoothly, but the camera has not been tested for functionality (see Catalogue Guarantee).
