UNIQUE DAVID GRAEBER (AMERICAN, B. 1967) NEW BORN SALAMANDER AND EGG PAPERWEIGHT, newly born young green salamander explores his new world with a bisected baby blue egg just above the head, all above a sandy brown ground with mossy green growth and scattered thin green vines with some isolated variegated leaves, signed to the side "MANTUA GLASS STUDIOS/DAVID GRAEBER/ 5/02/#2", polished pontil mark. Mantua Glass Studios, NJ. Dated 2002. 3 1/8" D.

Catalogue Note: This piece represents the second sold piece of David Graeber as an independent studio artist. After many years of assisting and learning from Paul Stankard, Mr. Graeber created "Mantua Glass Studios" in 2002. This is the second of only two known salamanders created by David Graeber.
