VERY FINE ENGLISH BRASS-BOUND MAHOGANY GENTLEMAN'S TRAVELING CASE, in remarkable original condition retaining gilt red leather fitted interior retaining a variety of original accoutrements, including a set of eight shell-handled G. Johnson straight razors, as well as a W. A. Smith "INIMITABLE STRAP" razor strop, interior of lid with removable stand-up mirror, and three marked German 0.812 silver pieces consisting of a pitcher with "WCH" maker's mark, a shaving bowl with "KD" or "HD" maker's mark, and a hinged spherical container, possibly a potpourri holder, with reticulated top having "WCH" maker's mark. Together with original leather outer carrying case. Total weight of three marked German 0.812 silver pieces: 23.215 ozt. Mid 19th century. 6 3/4" H, 16" W.
