VICTORIAN / ANTIQUE PAISLEY SHAWLS / PANELS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising three examples each having a black field surrounded by brightly colored designs to all four sides and fringe or unfinished edges at two ends, one with a striped design and fringe to all four edges, and one partial example with a red field surrounded by brightly colored designs to three sides and having one cut edge and one with fringe. Late 19th/early 20th century. Striped design example 74" x 71" with fringe.
Most in good to very good overall condition with scattered small to moderate holes, and other minor to moderate imperfections including fading, stains, tears, and/or mends; one example with black field center having several holes, tears, and mends; striped example with several losses to thread in silk and wool patterned bands.
