VICTORIAN CHERUB AND PHEASANT FIGURAL STEM KEROSENE STAND LAMP, colorless font with engraved decoration, raised on a figural stem featuring a cherub with a pheasant/eagle standing on a tree trunk, square marble base, period brass collar with shoulder plate. Fitted with a period lip burner and colorless lip chimney. Topped with a conical acid-etched gas shade depicting a dog and duck hunting scene. Maker unverified. Fourth quarter 19th century. 19 1/4" H to top of shade, 13 1/4" H to top of collar, 5" SQ base. Shade: 4 1/2" H, 4 7/8" D fitter.
Excellent condition overall with the font having scattered residue; standard appears to have been polished in certain spots, some stress marks; shade having a couple flakes to the fitter; marble having roughness around the edges.
