VICTORIAN FIGURAL PAINT-DECORATED LADY LIBERTY GAS CIGAR LIGHTER, polychrome-enamel finish, large figural stem depicting a woman with a longsword by her side, the blade terminating in a circular metal base which steps to a circular onyx base, possibly applied at a later date, gas extension coming from the base, period fixture emanating from top of head. Fitted with a period burner. Maker unverified. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 17 3/4" HOA.
Excellent condition overall with an area of post-production polishing to the top edge of the onyx base, scattered surface wear with only minor losses to the paint decoration.
