VICTORIAN MOTHER-OF-PEARL DIAMOND-QUILT ART GLASS HANGING FAIRY LAMP, butterscotch with an opaque white interior, large ogee bowl with a scalloped rim and etched to the interior of the bowl "CLARKE'S PATENT FAIRY", applied frosted colorless lower finial, fitted with a colorless lamp cup embossed "CRICKLITE CLARKE'S TRADEMARK", topped with a matching butterscotch Diamond-Quilt fairy-sized shade etched "CLARKE'S PATENT FAIRY" to the exterior of the fitter, all held within a hanging spider shade ring stamped "S. CLARKE'S PATENT FAIRY" to the interior of the central ring, original hanging chains. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. Shade in cup: 5" HOA. Base: 3 7/8" HOA, 6 1/8" DOA.
Virtually undamaged with a minor bruise and some roughness to the shade's top rim, probably as made. Shade having a small linear instance of discolored inclusion to the surface, as made.
