VINTAGE 14K YELLOW GOLD, ROLLED-GOLD, AND DIAMOND BROOCH / PENDANT, center with a heavy rolled-gold knot with engraved details, surrounding a round-cut diamond with an estimated weight of 0.25 ct., having a clarity grade of I1 and a color that approximately faces up white, in a five-prong setting, mounted on a rayed disc with back having applied non-gold pin fastener and a non-gold hinged pendant bail. Unmarked, tested as 14K gold fineness. Total weight including non-gold components: 9.0 grams. 20th century. 1 1/4" D.
Catalogue Note: Diamond weight and grading as well as gold testing from a 1988 appraisal performed by Ronald L. Cowardin, Graduate Gemologist, Cowardin Jewelers, Richmond, VA.
Condition
Very good overall condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and nicks, some spots of oxidation on rolled-gold knot.
