VIRGINIA AND OTHER AMERICAN COIN SILVER SPOONS AND KNIVES, LOT OF EIGHT, comprising a salt spoon by John Gaither of Alexandria, VA and Washington, DC (active 1807-1817), three spoons by or retailed by Charles Gennet, Jr. of Richmond, VA (active 1831-1887) consisting of two teaspoons by James Watts of Philadelphia, PA (active 1832-1888) and a tablespoon by Gennet, a 0.896 silver fruit knife by Samuel Kirk of Baltimore, MD (active 1815-1872) with engraved decoration to handle, a teaspoon by John Bigelow of Boston, MA (1830-1860), a soup/dessert spoon by an unidentified New York silversmith, and a pocket knife by Gorham & Co. of Providence, RI, many with personalized engravings. Each with maker's / retailer's mark. Total weight: 5.870 ozt. 19th century. 3 1/4" to 8 3/4" LOA.

Condition

Fair to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, dents, bending, and/or worn spots to decoration or bowl tips.
