WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA STENCILED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with slight shoulder, flat-top rounded rim, beaded neck ring, Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt "Jas. Hamilton / & Co. / Greensboro / Pa.", additional diamond and dot ornament below name and brushed cobalt stripe below rim and above base. 1860-1880. 9 3/8" H, 5 5/8" D rim.
