South Sea Whale Fishery. A Representation of Boats attacking a Sperm Whale from descriptions given by experienced Masters and Officers in the South Sea Fishery. Title lettering flanking a rendering of a sperm whale. Also inscribed in margin "Painted by W.J. Huggins, Marine Painter to his Majesty, and Published at 105, Leadenhall Street. London. 1834." and "Engraved by E. Duncan". Unframed.
Probably a later 19th century strike.

Very good condition with some smudges and 1 1/2" tear from lower edge.
