WHITING MFG. CO. STERLING SILVER LADLE AND FORKS, LOT OF 22, comprising a "Louis XV" oyster ladle with engraved "MAE" initials to handle, a set of 12 "Laureate" pie forks with engraved "T" initials, and a set of nine "Hyperion" oyster forks with engraved "T" initials. Each with "STERLING" and maker's marks, forks with retailer's marks for Nowlan & Co. of Richmond, VA (active 1866-1895; incorporated 1895-1926). Total weight: 19.11 ozt. Whiting Mfg. Co., North Attleboro, MA, New York City, NY, and Bridgeport, CT. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. 6 1/8" to 10 3/8" LOA.
Very good to excellent overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, minor worn sport to raised decoration.
