1876 PHILADELPHIA CENTENNIAL GEORGE WASHINGTON BUST / PAPERWEIGHT, frosted colorless, embossed "WASHINGTON" to the front and “CENTEINNAL [sic] EXHIBITION / GILLINDER & SONS” on the reverse. Gillinder & Sons, Philadelphia PA. Fourth quarter 19th century. 6" HOA.
Catalogue Note: We have not previously seen an example with "Centennial" misspelled, it seems the carver put the letter "I" in the wrong place.
Condition
Excellent condition with mold roughness and some minute flaking along base edges. Wavy annealing lines to surface, as-made.
