FRENCH SAINT-LOUIS SIGNED ROYAL BUST CENTERPIECE WITH FOUR-FACE CANDLESTICK BASE, top component consisting of a frosted glass bust of a bearded middle aged man, probably English prince (and later king) Edward VII with "PRINCE OF WALES" inscribed below, fitted with a pewter connector which screws onto a long metal standard, at the bottom of which is attached a heavy pressed candlestick-style base with alternating frosted and unfrosted areas, with central motif of four female faces arranged in a mascaron reminiscent of the American "Three Face" pattern. Base component embossed to underside "ST. LOUIS". Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint Louis. Circa 1880. 7 1/2" H bust piece, 8 1/2" H base (glass part, not including standard), 21" H assembled.
Very good condition, glass components each with minor bruising to surfaces, base piece with a large chip to one petal of foot and scattered shallow chipping to other areas. Overall light wear.
