A. FRENCH PATENTED MINIATURE BRACKET LAMP, colorless font, embossed "PAT. JULY 5 1870", unpatterned font with embossed "PAT. JULY 5 1870", threaded into a cast-iron saucer base with later black paint and a simple single-arm, circular-form reflector, wall-mount bracket, No. 1 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period Acorn burner, colorless chimney. Circa 1870. 3 1/4" H to top, of collar, 3 1/2" D base.
Provenance: From the Bill and Carol Lindow collection, Shaker Heights, OH.
Font with several bruises to the base threads, bracket undamaged. Setup undamaged.
