ABRAHAM LINCOLN'S STRANDS OF HAIR FROM OSTENDORF COLLECTION, card with tied strands of hair inscribed "5 STRAND OF LINCOLN'S HAIR / (4 BLACK / 1 GRAY), and "1 FRACTION", above a Lincoln family CDV, flanked by a typed, signed letter from noted Lincoln author and historian Lloyd Ostendorf stating the he supplied the present strands from a lock of Lincoln's hair originally in the Oliver Barrett collection of Chicago. Archival framed with museum glass. Circa 1865. 15" x 19" OA.
