SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA CIVIL WAR OBSOLETE CURRENCY / NOTES, LOT OF 25, comprising 21 Corporation of Winchester in 13 different types, ranging from 5 cents to $1 and bearing various 1861 and 1862 dates; Bank of Winchester $1 dated 1862 and $5 dated 1859; an 1860 $10 Central Bank of Virginia, Staunton; and an 1862 $1 Bank of the Valley in Virginia at Staunton.
Provenance: Originally owned by Isaac Shanholtz (1809-1885) or his son Robert Shanholtz (1841-1898), Frederick Co., VA.
Sixteen appear very good to fine, nine fair to good. Not professionally graded.
