ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA AND GEORGETOWN, DC COIN SILVER SPOONS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising two small teaspoons by John Adam of Alexandria, VA (active c. 1796-1798; 1801-1848) and Georgetown, DC (active 1801) each with a fiddle handle and partially worn engraved initials, a tablespoon by or retailed by William Wallace Adam of Alexandria, VA (active c. 1831-1877) with forward-tipped fiddle handle having pointed shoulders, and two pieces with engraved "B" initials by Charles A. Burnett of Alexandria, VA (active 1793-c. 1796) and Georgetown, DC (active 1796-c. 1840), who also worked in Fredericksburg, VA (active 1788-1793), consisting of a small teaspoon and a dessert/soup spoon with slightly curved fiddle handle having pointed shoulders. Each piece marked to back. Total weight: 3.270 ozt. Late 18th/19th century. 5 1/8" to 8 1/4" LOA.

Condition

Fair to good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, one or more dents, slight bending, and/or worn bowl tips; one Adam teaspoon with several dents to bowl and handle.
