WIAND / ALLEN / TOWN.", one corner dated "1858."; and one undated coverlet, dark blue, light green, yellow, and rose red wool, and natural cotton, center having framed floral design, inner border to three sides, outer border with various motifs including a lyre, applied fringe to three edges, lower edge signed "HENRY DANNERT. Wiand example 80" x 77 1/2" with fringe; Dannert example 79" x 80" with fringe.
Wiand example in fair to good overall condition with toning and some stains, scattered losses to wool, top edge with wear having a hole and being rolled and mended, a small hole near bottom edge, losses to fringe; Dannert example in good overall condition with light toning, a few stains, some scattered losses to wool, top edge with wear and several tears having moderate toning, fringe with losses notably to rose red wool.
