AMERICAN, POSSIBLY PENNSYLVANIA, DATED JACQUARD COVERLET, rose, dark blue, and mustard yellow wool, and natural cotton, whole panel, center having repeated stylized flower motifs, three sides featuring double borders of a basket of flowers alternating with pine trees, lower corner blocks each with four florets above "1856. 1856.", three edges with fringe. Dated 1856. 77" x 90" with fringe.
Very good visual condition with some light toning and spotting, scattered losses to wool mostly being small in size, two mended areas along center vertical, top edge with wear and tear, several scattered losses to fringe notably to wool.
