AMERICAN CARVED TIERED BOX WITH SPRING DRAWER, multi-level with top being open under a rectangular lid, and bottom having a hidden spring drawer that is released from a tab underneath, possibly made from something else that had these carved moldings. Retains original finish. Dated 1920. 8 1/2" HOA, 9 5/8" WOA, 7 3/8" DOA.
Catalogue Note: The underside of the lid has a note reading "Made by / Dale Sponseller / 1920 for / Lucille". Dale and Lucille are recorded as being married December 28, 1919 in Barry, Michigan. They were married for 65 years until Lucille's death in 1984.
Condition
Good condition overall with several breaks and repairs to feet, some wear to finish.
