AMERICAN EARTHENWARE / REDWARE SHAVING MUG, lead- and copper-glazed, tapered form with interior well for brush, an incised shoulder ring, an applied grooved strap handle, and beaded foot. Possibly Winchester, VA area. 4 5/8" HOA, 4 7/8" DOA rim.
Condition
Rim with 2 1/2″ hairline, interior brush well with chip and area of glaze exfoliation, chipping around foot.
