AMERICAN FOLK ART DATED DOG PICTORIAL HOOKED RUG, rectangular form, depicting a black and white Border Collie-type dog with "1930" date above and "LASSIE" name below on a purple background with white border and a dark frame, applied binding to edges. Mounted to fabric on a wooden stretcher for hanging. Dated 1930. Rug 34" x 20 1/2".
Condition
Very good overall condition with minor wear, light toning and fading, spots of minor bleeding of purple color onto white, binding with scattered holes, back in unknown condition.
