AMERICAN, POSSIBLY AMISH, PENNSYLVANIA / OHIO, FOLK ART TRAPUNTO AND EMBROIDERED WOOL TABLE MAT / RUG, hand-stitched, rectangular-form center with applique, trapunto, and embroidered floral design with berries, edges with two layers of scallops with polychrome binding, burlap backing. Mounted to fabric on a wooden stretcher for hanging. Late 19th/early 20th century. Mat 36" x 29" OA.

Very good visual condition with some fading and light toning, one applique leaf with a loss, some scallops with tears and holes to binding, some breaks/losses to embroidered crosses, back in unknown condition.
