AMERICAN "LOG CABIN - BARN RAISING" PIECED CRIB QUILT / COVER, hand-stitched, 48 pattern blocks in print and solid fabrics having brown centers, made of more than 800 pieces, uncertain if there is minimum quilting or none, later applied binding covering original edges, unknown backing. Mounted to fabric on a wooden stretcher for hanging. Probably Pennsylvania or Ohio. Circa 1880. 32" x 31".
Very good visual condition, top with scattered small holes notably to wool fabrics, 23 brown centers with later applied fabric patches, some light toning and a few stains/spotting, original binding and backing in unknown condition.
