AMERICAN OR BRITISH SCHOOL (LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART GENRE SCENE, watercolor on paper, an interior view depicting couple with young child, the room appointed with upholstered furniture, Classical gilt wall mirror, and patterned carpet as well as wallpaper, no signature located. Housed under glass in a period gilt molded frame. Late 18th/early 19th century. 12 1/4" x 15 1/4" sight, 15 1/4" x 18 1/4" OA.

Condition

Good overall condition with moderate toning and discoloration, small edge tears and areas of surface loss. Frame with moderate wear. Not examined out of frame.
