NORTHEASTERN FOLK ART PATRIOTIC PAINTING, oil on academy board, depicting a youthful figure wearing a naval outfit waving the American flag, sailing vessel in the background, no signature located. Housed in likely original frame. Possibly from Wellesley, Massachusetts. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. 24" x 13 1/4" sight, 27" x 16" OA.
Provenance: From a private collection in Somerville, MA.
Very good overall visual condition, scattered minor to moderate areas of craquelure and with scattered minor surface abrasions. Frame with scattered minor losses.
