AMERICAN OR EUROPEAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) LANDSCAPE PAINTING, oil on board, depicting a landscape with castle tower and village with figures and livestock, a body of water in the background. Housed in a period 19th century molded gilt frame. European or American. 19th century. 14 1/2" x 23 1/2" sight, 19 1/2" x 28 3/4" OA.
Condition
Good condition with multiple cracks to board visible from surface, mounted to a later backing panel which gives support to the original. Not examined out of frame.
Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.
