AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH AND 20TH CENTURY) PAINTINGS AND OTHER ARTWORK, LOT OF THREE, comprising a painting of Roman-style ruins, apparently The House of Castor and Pollux painted by William Winston Valentine; a painting of a classical-looking old man with a beard; and an enamel-on-metal depiction of the Valentine Museum with a cardinal in front on a branch by Max Karp, dated 1969. 19th and 20th century. Largest 23" x 16 1/4" OA.
Good condition overall with moderate wear to several pieces, the unframed painting in poor condition with multiple holes and moderate darkening.
Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.
