AMERICAN PAINT-DECORATED MAPLE AND CHERRY LAMINATED-STRIP BOX, having brass butt hinges and ring pull, interior open with an early board as a replacement above the drawer as the interior base. Retains a later grain-painted surface. Second half 19th century. 9 3/4" HOA, 20 1/2" WOA, 10 1/4" DOA.
Condition
Good condition overall, half of the paint on the lid was scraped off showing wood below; replacement interior base board is loose and ill-fitting.
