ENGLISH INLAID MAHOGANY TEA CADDY, mahogany and mixed-wood inlay, with brass knobs to top, interior consists of three compartments, each with a lid and labeled "B" "S" and "G", interior of has an inlaid monogram of "JPM" surrounded by a diamond and fleur de lis to either side. Retains a non-original, but functional key. Second half 19th century. 6 1/2" HOA, 12 5/8" WOA, 6 5/8" DOA.
Good overall condition with "G" compartment having a break to the rear of the cover where it connects to the box below; knobs to the top may be replacing an earlier bail pull etc., knobs are not firmly anchored to lid.
