AMERICAN PAINTED POPLAR PUNCHED-TIN-PANELED FOOD / PIE SAFE CUPBOARD, one-piece construction, the step-back form featuring two hinged four-light doors concealing three fixed shelves dressed with plate grooves over two hinged cabinet door, each fitted with applied punched-tin double panel displaying design of footed compote filled with stylized leaves. Retains original oxblood red-painted surface and hardware. Possibly Midwestern. Mid 19th century. 81" H, 40 1/2" W. 18" D.
