AMERICAN, PROBABLY NEW ENGLAND, LEATHER FIRE BUCKET, leather, with polychrome painted surface to front with banner reading "A. SHEARMAN, JR. / 1829", retains two modern replacement detached handles to interior. First half 19th century. 12 3/4" HOA.
Condition
Good condition with all-over darkening to surface, loss to original handle and handle attachments, leather very dry but stable.
