AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAIT OF A GIRL, oil on canvas, depicting a full length portrait of a girl sitting on a pink chair, a window behind her shows a landscape scene. Housed in likely original gilt gesso frame. Late 19th century. 26 1/2" x 21 1/2" sight, 34 1/2" x 29" OA.
Condition
As-found condition with puncture and tear to canvas, frame with multiple losses.
Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.
