AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) PORTRAITS, LOT OF TWO, oil on canvas, one depicting a bust length portrait of a young woman with blue eyes, the other depicting an older gentleman in pointed collar who bears resemblance to Robert De Niro. Both unframed. American. Second half 19th century. Largest 27" x 22" OA.

Condition

As-found condition, both with moderate surface wear and damage, male portrait with several tears and holes.

Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.
