AMERICAN SHEET-IRON / TIN AND MIRROR PAIR OF CANDLE WALL SCONCES,, each of circular form and slightly concave with a back set of mirror blocks, supporting a single candle socket with crimped rim drip catcher. 19th century. 10 3/4" HOA, 10" D back, 5 3/4" W.
Provenance: From the collection of Kathy and Dr. Joseph Arvay, Mendham, NJ.
Good overall condition with expected wear and mirror imperfections including light cracks and silver losses, each with losses of several mirror blocks, one example with a repair to arm/socket juncture.
