AMERICAN SIXTH-PLATE PAIR OF DAGUERREOTYPES OF AN OIL PAINTING, each depicting the same young lady wearing a sheer shoulder covering, one image taken slightly closer than the other. Housed in their original leather-covered hinged case with gilt liners. Circa 1850. 3 3/4" x 3 1/4" OA.
Condition
One in excellent condition, the other with some small areas of marring to the surface.
